A Range of Safe Options Amid COVID-19
A safe way to operate is crucial. In order to keep on-camera speakers safe a number of functional protocols options are available:
No direct contact
All filming can be completed without any direct contact with the filming crew. All equipment, including audio, can be setup in such a way that the speaker can walk in when everything is ready and immediately begin. Masks will be worn by crew at all times, including during load-in, setup and exit. Crew will also keep a 2-meter distance throughout.
"Beaming" to the team
The on-camera speaker can have their setup broadcast live to teams over Zoom or other video conferencing software. As a result, teams do not have to be in physical attendance at the filming, but will be able to review exactly what is being seen and said.
Video editing is completed remotely with versions sent online for comments and review. All designated team members can be included in the process. Final videos can also be delivered online through secure channels.
If a speaker is unable to be professionally filmed they are able to record themselves and send the video file in for editing, where the material can be adjusted and used as needed. Guidance can also be provided to capture the best quality self-recording.
